Twilight Vision Ring

The Twilight Vision Ring centers a natural iolite cabochon (1.5 × 1.1 cm) that shifts from deep indigo to violet-blue depending on the light. In shadow, it's a brooding dark purple. In sunlight, it ignites with an inner glow that photographs can't capture. This isn't decoration. This is wearable magic.

The iolite is held in a hand-forged sterling silver bezel setting with textured prongs that echo ancient metalwork. The wide band (1.2 cm) hugs your finger with presence and weight (9.72 grams total), creating a grounded, sculptural silhouette that feels both powerful and elegant. This is a statement ring that doesn't shout. It whispers. And everyone leans in to listen.

The Story Behind It

This piece began with the iolite. Its pleochroic nature—the way it shifts from deep indigo to violet depending on the angle of light—reminded me of twilight, that liminal space between day and night where vision becomes both clearer and more mysterious. I wanted the setting to honour that duality, so I hand-forged a wide sterling silver band that feels ancient, protective, and grounded. The wide band creates presence without overwhelming the stone. It's a ring that demands to be worn, not saved.

Handcrafted in my Canadian studio, this ring is a meditation in metal and stone, designed to be worn, loved, and trusted.

This ring is a size 6.5, but due to the wide band (1.2 cm), it fits more like a size 6.
If you typically wear a size 6.5, consider sizing up to a 7 for comfort. Wide bands sit snugly on the finger and may feel tighter than narrow rings in the same size.
