Intermediate Wire Weaving Class
Refine your skills. Create something sculptural.
This 5-hour class is designed for students who already know the basics of wire weaving and are ready to explore more complex techniques. You’ll practice advanced weaves, sculptural forms, and intricate stone-setting methods, and leave with one finished piece that reflects your growing mastery.
This is not a beginner class. You should already be comfortable with basic wire wrapping, forming loops, and setting stones.

What You’ll Learn:
Advanced Weaving Techniques
Explore complex weaves like herringbone, basket weave, and spiral wraps. You’ll learn how to create texture, dimension, and movement in your designs.
Sculptural Forms
Move beyond flat wrapping and learn how to build three-dimensional structures—frames, cages, and architectural forms that hold stones securely while adding visual interest.
Intricate Stone Setting
Learn advanced basket-setting, prong-style wraps, and how to work with irregularly shaped stones. You’ll practice creating settings that are both secure and beautiful.
Design Refinement
How to plan a piece before you start, choose wire gauges strategically, and finish your work with professional-level polish.
What You’ll Make:
You’ll practice multiple advanced techniques throughout the day and leave with one finished piece—a sculptural pendant, ring, or pair of earrings that showcases your refined skills.
The piece you create will be more complex, dimensional, and entirely your own.
What to Bring:
A bagged lunch. Light refreshments will be provided. All materials are provided/included in your materials fee. If you have your own tools and prefer to use them, feel free to bring them along.
