Beginner Wire Weaving: Evening Class (Thursdays)
Learn the foundations. Leave with something beautiful.
This 4-hour hands-on evening class is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the art of wire weaving. You will practice foundational weaves and techniques throughout the session, and by the end of the evening, you will leave with one finished piece, a wire-wrapped pendant you made yourself.
No experience required. Just curiosity, patience, and a willingness to learn.
What You’ll Learn:
Wire Basics How to work with different gauges, choose the right wire for your design, and handle your tools with confidence.
Essential Techniques Wrapping, weaving, forming loops, and creating secure connections. These are the building blocks of all wire jewellery.
Stone Setting How to wrap a gemstone bead so it is secure, beautiful, and wearable.
Finishing How to add a bail so your pendant is polished and ready to wear.
What You’ll Make:
You will practice foundational weaves and techniques throughout the evening and leave with one finished wire-wrapped pendant. Your gemstone bead is included. The piece you create will be simple, wearable, and entirely your own.
What’s Included:
✅ 4 hours of hands-on instruction
✅ Small group setting (4 to 6 students)
✅ 15-minute break with light refreshments
✅ Copper wire kit included in class fee
✅ Gemstone bead included
✅ A finished pendant to take home
Class fee: $125 CAD per person. Kit and gemstone bead included. No additional material fees.
A note on materials: copper is the recommended metal for beginners. It is forgiving, workable, and ideal for building the muscle memory and tool confidence you need before moving to sterling silver or gold filled wire. I recommend completing at least two beginner-level classes before making that upgrade.
