Beginner Wire Weaving

This 5-hour hands-on class is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the art of wire weaving. You’ll practice various weaves and techniques throughout the day, and by the end, you’ll leave with one finished piece—a pendant or pair of earrings you made yourself.

No experience required. Just curiosity, patience, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Learn:

Wire Basics How to work with different gauges, choose the right wire for your design, and handle your tools with confidence.

Essential Techniques Wrapping, weaving, coiling, forming loops, and creating secure connections. These are the building blocks of all wire jewelry.

Stone Setting How to wrap a gemstone so it’s secure, beautiful, and wearable. You’ll learn basic setting and framing techniques.

Finishing How to add jump rings, bails, clasps, and ear wires so your piece is polished and ready to wear.

What You’ll Make:

You’ll practice various weaves and techniques throughout the day and leave with one finished piece—either a wire-wrapped pendant or a pair of earrings.

The piece you create will be simple, wearable, and entirely your own.

Material Costs are extra and depend on type of wire and gemstones/beads you choose for your piece.

Class Details:

Duration: 5 hours (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with a break for lunch) Cost: $115CAD + material fees.

Location: My home studio in the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario

Group Size: 6 students. (Class dates will be announced once we have 6 interested participants). Once all have agreed upon the date of the class and materials you will be working in fees will be due.

What to Bring:

A bagged lunch. Light refreshments will be provided. All materials are provided/included in kit fee. If you have your own tools and prefer to use them, feel free to bring them along.
